Does your city provide enough space for movement and fun? Comment by ISCA President Mogens Kirkeby
We have to use our streets and public spaces creatively, and that means for more than traffic. Otherwise, it’s a waste of space.
Streets are existing facilities, and opening up them up to physical activity and movement is smart, sustainable and cost-efficient. We don’t need more construction, just a decision.
Streets are often located in densely populated areas – cities where a lot of people live and where we have few ordinary sports facilities.
So what are we waiting for?
You can ask the question if your city provides enough space for movement and fun. We believe it’s possible in any city, also in your local area.
