Funchal Open Streets day

The Madeira Association for Sport for All intends to boost the above mentioned initiative in the Funchal Municipality on September 21st between 10h and 17h. Open Streets day is the result of an Erasmus + project that aims to transform the public streets and urban areas of European cities into places for physical and recreational activity. Members of the local community are invited to take part in street enjoyment actions and experiences from a different, more playful and active perspective. Therefore, we invite the Municipality to join this initiative that will be held at Fernão de Ornelas Street, a reference artery of our capital and recently closed to road traffic. To this end, we suggest integrating the European Mobility Week, which is its kick-off. The program includes a flashMob, a Zumba class, animation activities for children, inflatables, trampolines, among others.
